Summer Field Trip Scheduled for July 25 — Sunflowers and Fireworks
Connecticut Association of Photographers (CAP) is leading a double-feature event in Connecticut on Wednesday, July 25th, and PCLFC is joining in on the fun!
PCLFC is a member of CAP, so all events sponsored by them are free for any PCLFC member.
Date: Wednesday, July 25th, 2012
Time: 3:00 p,m.
Where: Exit 55 off of I 95N in Branford Commuter Lot (US 1 Near Branford Theater and Walgreens)
if carpooling or meet at the farm at 4:30 p.m.
FIRST DESTINATION: Buttonwood Farms, 473 Shetucket Turnpike, Griswold, CT 06351
WHAT: Photographing sunflowers and eating ice cream
THEN: Photographing fireworks at Mohegan Sun Casino from rooftop
DINNER: Picnic, bring your own food. Tables are available. Ice cream for sale on site for dessert (from David Henkel “Trust me when I say the homemade ice cream at buttonwood farms is tasty!”).

Buttonwood farms has been a regular stop for the Club, as the farm grows 14 acres of sunflowers in large meadows with expansive sky views at sunset. It’s a great site to see.
