An evocative print starts with vision, followed by strong composition and creative interpretation. Unifying these three areas is the key to conveying emotion instead of simply exercising technique or the use of technology.
Drawing from his art and musical background, landscape photographer Robert Rodriguez Jr. shares several images and explains how they were conceived, captured, and interpreted to produce fine art prints, from Lightroom editing to paper selection.
About the Photographer
Robert Rodriguez Jr is a landscape photographer, teacher, and author focused on conveying the beauty and presence he experiences in nature. He is also passionate about helping others discover their innate creativity. Robert graduated from the Berkley College of Music and was a music producer for 15 years before transitioning to photography where he continues to explore qualities of composition, rhythm, beauty and drama in his work.
A respected educator, Robert writes about all aspects of photography and creativity, and offers photography workshops and seminars, printing workshops, and online training courses. He has written three books: Insights Into the Art & Craft of Landscape Photography, Digital Fine Art Printing Field Guide, and Insights From the Creative Path. All are available from his website.
Robert is also a Canon Infinity ambassador, a select group of hand-picked international artists that uphold and exemplify the Canon heritage of paper making since 1557. He prints all of his work and teaches printing workshops at his studio in Beacon, NY.
