Sandy Gennrich Earns a Perfect Score for “The Bathtub”

Club member Sandy Gennrich’s image The Bathtub earned a perfect score of 27 from our three judges for February’s competition.  Sandy’s image was submitted into the Digital Projected Image Class Salon Open Subject category.

Sandy says about the image:

“Our first stop in Morocco was the port town of Essaouira.  I had seen many images of the blue boats in the harbor, but very few of them included any people.  When I saw the man wearing the djellaba, the traditional overcoat in Morocco, I knew immediately that I wanted to compose the image to highlight the man with enough context to make it undeniabley Essaouira.  (Djellabas are worn all over the Middle East, but Moroccan djellabas are unique with their pointy hoods.)  The repeated pattern created by the boats and the relatively monotone scene appealed to me, especially when punctuated by the human element.  “.
