It was a record setting evening at the Stamford Photography Club this past Wednesday, as our judges for this evening’s competition handed out 5 perfect scores to our Member’s submissions.  This week we’ll be highlighting those images that received a perfect score.

Club member Linda Brinckerhoff’s image Sunrise at Oxbow Bend earned a perfect score of 27 from our three judges for November’s competition.  Linda’s image was submitted into the Digital Projected Image Class Salon Open Subject category.

Linda says about the image:

“This image was taken September 26, 2014 on the Snake River at Oxbow Bend in Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming.

The largest mountain is Mount Moran.

Knowing that this might be the only sunrise for the next four days due to predicted weather conditions, I arrived about 1 hour before sunrise.

To my surprise, there were already almost 100 photographers at the location hoping to capture the exact same scene.

Of course, everyone was in everyone else’s shot. I heard there had been a fist fight before I arrived.

I cloned out about 10 photographers who were in front of me on a lower level of the river bank.

There was another lower level filled with photographers right at the water’s edge but they are not visible.

So much for the remote wilderness of our national parks.”

Congratulations Linda! Your image was added to the Perfect Score Gallery
