Lee Paine Presents Creating Art is a Journey – Will You Be Using Your Cell Phone Camera on Your Journey? This Wednesday at 7:30p
Stamford Photography Club is pleased to welcome Lee Paine to be our guest speaker this coming Wednesday, January 21 at 7:30.
Lee put together a program for Wednesday night that she thinks will interest the members because it involves you! Whenever Lee has the privilege of talking to a group of people, she likes to take them on a journey in which they learn from each other. Lee believes it’s such a gift to have a group of creative people such as our members together in one place, that for her it’s important to see where we can go with a subject together.
Lee is calling her presentation “Creating Art is a Journey – Will You Be Using Your Cell Phone Camera on Your Journey?” Lee is asking us as part of this presentation to please bring a notepad or device on which you can write, and please prepare a list in advance of the features/apps/filters available on your cell phone camera.
Lee says:
“What I’m going to do is briefly describe the things I’ve learned on my latest journey to producing these large scale, fine art, cell phone photographs in the series “The Emotional Life of Flowers,” some of which will be in the show at the Bendheim Gallery opening this Sunday from 3 -5, which I believe your members already know about.
Then I will show you a way to map your own artistic goals and visions, and, by doing a bit of market research on the cell phone cameras in the room, we will all learn which cell phone cameras, if any, have the potential to play a role in the near future in our own photographic journeys. We’ll also be doing some cell phone photography exercises right there together, since we have so many excellent subjects right in the room!
