Congratulations to Greg Presley for achieving a perfect score of 27 from our three judges at our February’s competition.  Greg’s image was submitted into the Digital Projected Image Class Salon Open Subject category.

Here’s what Greg had to say about the image:

“Dune 45 is a star dune in the Sossusvlei area of the Namib Desert in Namibia. Its name comes from the fact that it is at the 45th kilometre of the road to DeadVlei (65 kilometers in total).  It stands over 80 m.  I captured this image in the early morning on our way to DeadVlei (the end of the 65 Km journey).  Because it is near to the road Dune 45 is often photographed, particularly early and late in the day when one side of the dune is in shadow. It is often climbed by visitors to Sossusvlei. If you look closely at my image you will see a handful of hikers already at the top and in the first 200 meters of the climb (much lower to the right) you will see a solo climber.”

Congratulations Greg!  Your image was added to the Perfect Score Gallery.
