Featured Image – Donald in Profile by Linda Brinckerhoff

Linda’s image “Donald in Profile” (click the image to see the full picture) scored a perfect 27 from the judges in our Photo of the Year competition in May 2012.

Linda says of the image, “This was a photograph I took at the abandoned New Mexico State Prison in Santa Fe in 2010 as part of independent work during a workshop with Joe McNally and Moose Peterson.

It was photographed with a Nikon D700, 24-70 mm lens at 50 mm in available light.

I had overlooked this image in favor of some others I took that day and recently re-discovered it in my folders.”
