Travel photography: Dreaming, Planning and Executing a Successful Experience

Wednesday, April 19 7:30pm

Are you on a landscape shoot expecting epic clouds that never appear? Perhaps you are on vacation with the family and the only time you have to shoot yourself is 2:00 PM. These are situations every travel photographer faces. How do you walk away with great images even when things don’t go as planned during your travels?

In this session, Shamik and Sandy will discuss the 3 phases in how they set up a successful travel photography experience from Dreaming, to Planning, to Executing. They will briefly cover the tools they use to figure out where to go and when. they will spend some time discussing a few aspects of the Planning phase like logistics. The main focus will be on their “Bag of Tricks”, the tools and techniques they use in the field for both urban and landscape settings to broaden their success in the field.
