SPC presents Ron Landis Lecture – Open Mind Photography, Wednesday, November 16, 7:30 pm

On Wednesday, November 16 we are very pleased to have Ron Landis, one of our favorite judges, present “Open Mind Photography”.

“OPEN MIND: Too often we’re faced with those who view originality with contempt. In the context of our work as photographers and artists Ron Landis will discuss the influence that rigid convention has had on innovation and how it can be overcome to create unique and aesthetically appealing art.”

Ron will be joined afterwards by our own Aleksander Rotner who will share some of his favorite prints and the stories behind their creation.

This should be a very interesting evening.  Ron’s Open Mind Photography presentation has been very well received by other photography clubs and we expect a robust discussion afterwards.  As we all know, Aleksander produces extremely creative images that make the viewer step back in wonderment.

This evening will be thought provoking and a fitting lead-in to our February Assigned Subject: Digitally Enhanced/Manipulated Photo.
